The advertisement that I have chosen is a Covergirl ad featuring Drew Barrymore. The ad is full of color with pink writing which will catch girls’ eyes, who are Covergirl’s directed audience. The bold letters draw you to the brand name which is what the company wanted. Once they place Drew Barrymore in the ad, along with her name, they place credibility within their product. Some teen girls and even some adults look up to Drew Barrymore. So, if they want to be more like her, they will buy the product that she “wears.” At the bottom of the advertisement it also explains about their mascara and what colors it comes in. In addition, it tells you where you can find this product on their website. At the bottom of their page it has the tag line “Easy breezy beautiful COVERGIRL.” This is for people to recall their product’s brand name, with a catchy phrase, in hopes of having them buying it.
