Papers 4 Sale
So this whole blogging thing seems to have gotten away from not just me, but a lot of people. I wish I had some exciting story to tell, but sadly I have nothing. The past week and I know my future weeks will be filled with school work. We are a few short weeks away from the end of fall semester, which means that my life is filled with essays that I don’t want to write, nor do I think teachers really want to read. I want to know how teachers determine the page length of their assignment. For example, our English paper has no real limit and neither does my online final, all you need is enough to cover your topic. However, my Jurisprudence paper assignment is supposed to be ten pages. My problem with length of papers is that I just want to get to the point and be done; I hate beating around the bush and having to add fluff to a topic in order to make a page length requirement. All this does is leave me wasting time making crap up and teachers wasting their time reading it, if they really do. I am convinced that some teachers don’t even really read their papers; they just skim to make sure it “looks good.” To back this theory I have had a friend who was assigned a ten to twenty page paper, on the eighth page she started to ask questions like “are you really reading this” and “this paper sucks,” I would like to note that she still got a B with this added crap. I, however, never have the guts to add things like this. So for the next few weeks when I am not busy with homework, in class, or running around like a chicken with its head cut off, I will be sitting in my room or in the library trying to finish these papers that I don’t even like the topics of. This includes the last English paper (which will include a presentation), a ten page paper on the legal philosophy behind criminal justice, an analysis paper of another paper for Logic, and an essay style final (which at mid-terms ended with twelve pages for five questions) for my online Jurisprudence class. As much as I like being in school, the papers kill me. Oh well I always just tell myself that soon it will be over and I will be writing papers or something like a paper for future employers. Too bad my life cannot consist of either just classes and tests or writing papers, because both just seem like too much at this point. Well I guess with all that said I need to get some dinner, figure out a game plan for all this work, and find time for the gym. Welcome to my life…it sucks sometimes!
